Interface Tour: Main Terminal, Tabs, Side Panels, and Input Controls
This guide gives you a practical map of the MudBringer workspace so you can find key controls fast.
Main Terminal
The main terminal is your live game output and command flow.
Use it to:
- Read server output.
- Send commands from the input bar.
- Validate that triggers and aliases behave correctly.
Tabs and Session Focus
Tabs let you switch between active sessions without losing context.
Tips:
- Keep one task per session (for example: main, scout, crafter).
- Use clear session names so tabs are readable.
- Use
/focus {session}for fast keyboard-driven switching.
Advanced tab workflow:
- Cluster tabs when you want related sessions grouped together.
- Uncluster tabs when you want independent placement and faster side-by-side control.
- Move tab groups or windows to another monitor when running multi-screen layouts.
Input Bar and Send Behavior
The input bar is your command launch point.
Default behavior sends input to the active session.
MudBringer also supports alternate Enter hotkeys that can target delegation groups for coordinated multi-session sends.
When using delegated send behavior, verify group membership first so commands reach only intended sessions.
Good habits:
- Use aliases for repetitive text.
- Verify command output before automating.
- Keep sensitive input private when needed.
Input Bar Customization (/input)
Use /input options to control input bar behavior and visibility details.
Example use cases:
hideinactivebehavior to reduce UI noise when the input is not focused.- Input presentation preferences for different play modes.
- Workflow-specific tweaks when running multiple sessions.
Use /input help in-client to review available option variants in your build.
Terminal and Input Display Controls
You can tune terminal and input presentation for readability and speed:
- Font face selection.
- Font size adjustments.
- Foreground/text color adjustments.
Apply terminal and input settings deliberately so both remain readable during fast combat or high-scroll sessions.
Buttons, Dashboards, and Status Bars
Buttons, dashboards, and status bars are treated as a dedicated topic and should be configured with their own guide-driven workflow.
This interface tour keeps focus on core navigation and input behavior.
